I am Lord Paxton

Today is an ominous day. It has come to my attention that we have a dream dancer in our midst. It worries me to know that such a dangerous creature roams the very city we ran to for protection.  I pray that he doesn't attack myfamily. My  beautiful wife, Lady Hélène, is the heart of everything I do. If there is a dream dancer among us, how are we to know who he is? Why weren't the C' La Andria able to find him before he was able to get so close to my family? These questions will weigh heavy on me until it is caught. For now, I will continue to pray to the gods for support.

I long for the days when we can finally put an end to the blood fued. The marriage between Mara and Tyberious that ended in death was centuries ago. I don't understand why the bitterness still exists. Perhaps Lord Cyrus was being honest in his endeavours to end the fued when he invited myself and my family to the annual ball. Though, I fear there is something looming in the background of the invitation. I want to believe with everything that makes me who I am, that his intentions are true.

Sheria is turning 18 soon. I find it odd that she has never brought a boy home to meet me. I wonder if there is someone who already has her heart. If so, would she even be willing to meet Stavon, Lord Cyrus' son? She doesn't talk about matters of her heart to me, and her mother has never spoken of it. Sheria is a spirited young woman who will not be set aside. I hope that Stavon will be to accept that. If he is any kind of man at all, he will enjoy her beauty and her strengths as well as lift up her weeknesses. I will never understand what goes on in the heart of a woman. I only know I have been blessed by the gods of the C' La Andria.

May the C' La Andria bless all my people and guide me during this oh most difficult time...
